Gervonta “Tank” Davis defeats Frank Martin in the 8th round via devastating knockout in his return fight since his last fight against Ryan Garcia in April of 2023.

In the beginning, Frank Martin was controlling the fight as many predicted would happen with Martin outlanding and controlling how the fight was being dictated. This is a normal occurance for Tank fights as he gages how opponents are trying to fight before he applies his pressure. The start of the 7th round happened and Tank started to apply that pressure as he threw devastating power punches which landed in the 8th and ended Martin which one knockdown.

Gervonta now looks to be more active in the future and has multiple fights lined up in the future, such as Lomachenko or Shakur for the unification of the belts at 135. A superfight has also been mentioned for Gervonta “Tank” Davis to go up against Japanese sensation Naoya Inoue with the backing of Riyadh season and Turki Alalshikh. This would be hard to make due to the weight difference however, if made Tank and Inoue will sell out any stadium in the world and would be a huge fight in the boxing world.

David Benavidez also dominates in his Light Heavyweight debut!

David Benavidez defeats former world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk via Unanimous Decision in his debut at the 175lbs division. David was comfortable throughout the fight showing his speed and power however, Gvozdyk showed how durable he is and maintained a good pace to test Benavidez in the fight. Benavidez let go off the gas at the end of the fight but the fight was already won by that point.

Benavidez is now the Interim WBC Light Heavyweight champion and will fight the winner of Bivol vs Beterbiev which is another superfight lined up at 175lbs. Beterbiev is still interested in fighting at 168lbs against Canelo Alvarez who he said has been “ducking” him for a long time now which is a fight fans have been waiting for. We will be interested to see which direction Benavidez goes

Let us know how you enjoyed the fights, and who you think Tank and Benavidez should fight next.
