UFC president Dana White has announced that the number 7 ranked welterweight contender Ian Machado Garry will take on the exciting Michael “Venom” Page at UFC 303 – McGregor vs Chandler. Ian Garry is coming off a split decision win against Geoff Neal and was looking to go against Colby Covington however Colby is unable to fight as he is recovering from a broken foot he suffered in his unsuccessful challenge of the world championship against Leon Edwards. Ian was then left with Michael Venom Page who is a fan favourite already within the UFC having only had one fight in the organisation. MVP beat Kevin Holland in a comfortable win earlier this year and was looking to fight Ian Garry in Manchester at UFC 304. However, Garry wants to fight on the same card as his idol and country man Conor McGregor so the fight is taking place on international fight week in Las Vegas at UFC 303. Stylistically, it is a very interesting fight as MVP has a style that is very unique and hard to prepare for but Ian Garry has very crisp striking. We could potentially see Ian Garry use his wrestling and the BJJ he has been learning while training with Charles Oliveria at Chute Boxe in Brazil.

Another fight offically announced for UFC 303 was the Co-Main Event, with Jamahal Hill taking on Carlos Ulberg who is stepping in for Khalil Rountree Jr who tested positive for a banned substance. Jamahal Hill coming off that devastating knockout loss to the UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereria and is looking to bounce back quick with a victory on the biggest card of the year. Carlos Ulberg is coming into this fight after blasting through Alonzo Menifield in 12 seconds just a few weeks ago but as he took no damage he can take this fight with Jamahal Hill. This fight is a great fight which is guaranteed to have a finish and will lead us to the main event and the return on the notorious Conor McGregor
